Retail

Retail and stores: the same standard in every store, online and offline

Checklists, audits, cameras, POS, stock and online sales from opening to closing.

Tested in production.

Who it is for

For retail chains and franchise networks with several stores: convenience, grocery, fashion, specialty and service stores. Head office sets the standard; each store has its own layout, team and suppliers, and the standard drifts. SiteQuilt turns the standard into checklists, audits and camera checks that store teams follow on a phone, and puts sales, stock and the online store on the same data.

Retail

Typical problems

Shelves differ store by store

Displays and promotions are set up differently in every store, and head office only finds out during a visit.

Opening and closing on paper

Nobody can say, before doors open, which stores have finished the opening checklist.

Short-dated products

Fresh and dated products expire on the shelf because nobody sees them in time.

Stock and online out of sync

The online store shows products the store no longer has, or old prices.

Rotating teams

New colleagues learn the procedures by asking, in a language that is not always their own.

Numbers come late

Sales, invoices and costs per store arrive at month end, not when decisions are made.

Platform

Retail

A typical day, step by step

How a store day runs in SiteQuilt.

1

Opening

The opening checklist covers tills, cleanliness, fridges and displays, with photos for key areas and a deadline before doors open.

2

Deliveries

Supplier invoices arrive automatically from the national e-invoicing system; stock updates and short-dated items are flagged.

3

Shelves and promotions

The area manager runs the store audit on a phone, with score and photos; cameras can confirm optional checks.

4

Sales in store and online

The till and the online store share the same stock and prices; a sold-out product disappears online.

5

Customer questions

The chat assistant answers availability and order questions and hands over to the team when needed.

6

Closing and report

The closing checklist confirms cash and security; the day's sales are matched to the Z report and land in the store P&L.

Integrations

Works with the systems you already run

SiteQuilt can run order entry and inventory itself, or sit on top of the POS you already run where it offers an API or exports. Supplier e-invoices can be pulled automatically from the national e-invoicing system and pushed to accounting. Existing cameras can be used for optional checks, processed on site. Your online store can share products, prices and availability with the register. Other connections are confirmed during discovery.

Compliance

Records ready when someone asks for them

Stores keep operating permits, fire safety checks, staff documents and, for food retail, food safety and temperature records. SiteQuilt keeps them per store, with expiry alerts and a dashboard that flags missing documents. It supports your own procedures; responsibility for compliance stays with the operator.

Pilot at one location

Start small, measure, then roll out

  1. Discovery: we map one location, its systems and the workflows above.
  2. Setup: sites, users, roles, checklists and the first document roadmap.
  3. Live use: the team works in SiteQuilt every day; we record the starting point.
  4. Review: together we compare the indicators and decide on the next locations.

What we measure in the pilot

  • Opening and closing checklists completed on time
  • Audit score per store and per section
  • Short-dated products removed or marked down in time
  • Time from maintenance ticket to fix

We measure your own starting point. We do not promise figures in advance.

FAQ

Questions we hear

How do we check the standard in many stores at once?

Stores complete the same checklists and audits on a phone. Results, scores and photos appear on one dashboard per store and per region.

Does it work with our POS?

SiteQuilt has its own POS and inventory, or connects to your POS where it offers an API or exports. We confirm this during discovery.

Can the online store share stock with the stores?

Yes. The online store and the register share the same products, prices and availability, so a change at the till shows online.

Do we need new cameras?

No. Vision checks are optional and use the cameras you already own, processed on site.

Does it work for franchise networks?

Yes. Each store is a location; the franchisor sees the standard across the network and each franchisee sees their own stores.

How is retail priced?

Retail networks are quoted in the Personalize plan, with modules chosen after discovery.
